Who this course is for

All SCFHS-registered, MOH-licensed practitioners in Saudi Arabia.

After a concern

Structured learning and a written reflection to show insight after a complaint, an investigation or a hearing before a violations committee or the Sharia Health Panel.

Routine CPD

Focused learning on a core standard of practice, with a certificate and reflection for your portfolio.

About this course

Credential and document honesty sits behind every SCFHS classification and MOH licence, and Saudi law treats it seriously: misleading statements to obtain a licence and unlawfully claiming a title are criminal offences, and incorrect or exaggerated certificates are prohibited. This course explains how classification and verification of foreign documents work, why altered letters and undisclosed history cause problems, and how to keep CVs, titles and profiles consistent with your classification. It then covers electronic sick leave and medical reports, honest records and corrections, research ethics and publication integrity, CPD records and honest insurance claims.

It is written for physicians, dentists, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, health specialists and technicians in government and private practice, including expatriate practitioners going through classification. Saudi case studies, a knowledge check after every section, a 20-question scenario assessment and a guided reflection and action plan help you apply the standard to your own documents.

Questions about this course

Does this course give SCFHS CPD hours?

No. SCFHS decides how any learning counts towards your registration, and this course does not award SCFHS hours itself. You can apply through the Recognition of CPD Hours service on Mumaris Plus, which SCFHS lists at SAR 100 with a service time of 30 business days, and SCFHS decides whether to recognise it.

Does the course explain how SCFHS verifies foreign qualifications and experience letters?

Yes. Section 2 explains the two-step model of professional classification and registration, the documents SCFHS asks for, and how the verification company SCFHS uses checks documents directly with the issuing university, employer or regulator. It also explains why a letter with accurate dates can still fail if it was not issued by someone with authority.

What does it say about the penalties for forged certificates?

It sets out the consequences confirmed in the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions, including criminal penalties under Article 28 for misleading statements to obtain a licence, and the link between SCFHS registration and the MOH licence. Specific SCFHS sanctions such as ban periods are set in SCFHS's own rules; the course does not quote figures it could not confirm from a current primary source, so check the current SCFHS text for a specific case.

Is sick leave covered in detail?

Yes. Section 5 explains how authorised facilities issue electronic sick leave through Seha-linked systems, how patients see it in Sehhaty, the Article 14 ban on incorrect or exaggerated certificates, and MOH's March 2025 warning about forged medical reports. It also gives practical wording for declining requests from patients, relatives, colleagues and managers.

I am an expatriate going through classification. Is this course relevant before I start work?

Yes. It explains what SCFHS asks for, how to handle gaps and closed complaints honestly, why agents who offer to arrange documents put you at risk, and how to keep your CV and titles consistent with your Saudi classification once you are working.

Can I use the course after a concern about my documents, certificates or records?

You can. It helps you understand the standard and write a structured reflection and action plan. It cannot decide the outcome of any investigation or case. If MOH, SCFHS or a committee has asked for specific learning, check with them, your employer, insurer or lawyer whether this course is suitable before relying on it, and take advice before giving a detailed statement where criminal or licensing consequences are possible.

How long does it take and how is it assessed?

Allow about two hours. There are nine sections, each ending with a short knowledge check, then a 20-question scenario-based final assessment with an 80% pass mark and a guided reflection and action plan you can keep for your portfolio.
